A new magazine for the taxi trade: The Team of Taxi Times

Taxi Times is the first international taxi magazine. Journalists and professional publishers who have been closely linked with the taxi industry for many years are committed to it.

Jürgen Hartmann (42) is the founder and shareholder of the Taxi Times publishing company. He got his taxi licence at the age of 21 and has worked as an entrepreneur with several licences for several years. He still has a valid passenger transportation licence for his hometown Munich and is actively involved in the taxi driver training. The skilled management assistant in publishing established a Munich taxi magazine at the turn of the Millennium and in 2003 transferred as editor-in-chief to “taxi heute”, a magazine that is a nationwide German taxi publication. The rapid changes within the taxi industry persuaded the father of two in 2014 to create a communication platform for the internationalisation of the taxi industry with the magazine Taxi Times.

Jürgen Hartmann is strongly supported by Wim Faber (60), who as managing editor international illuminate reports on taxi topics from all over the world. Since the 80s, the Dutchman from Brussels and trained communications specialist has written for a number of taxi and public transport-journals in Europe, North America and Australasia about taxi and mobility in the widest sense of the word. His profound knowledge and the many years of experience also flow in the company Challans & Faber Business Communications led by him and his wife Katie. As publisher and editor-in-chief of the mobility magazine “Personenvervoer” and the international taxi website www.taxiintelligence.com, he is one of the experts in the industry.

Elke Gersdorf is also a designated taxi and publisher expert. The trained marketing specialist has worked for various publishing houses in various functions in the course of her professional career and in 2010 took over the purchasing responsibility for the industry magazine “taxi heute”. In this job, Mrs Gersdorf who was born in Leipzig formed many friendly contacts with the taxi industry and the taxi trade. When phoning potential advertisers, prices for advertisements are rarely the focus. Most of the time, the conversation is about the current situation within the taxi industry. The mother of two grown-ups is very much looking forward to her new task and -in the near future- to be able to conduct these same professional conversations internationally.
